Terms of Service

Plain-English summary: Use Lead Jefe legally and ethically. Only send emails to people you have a legitimate business reason to contact. Don't resell our software. Pay your subscription on time. We're not liable if your outreach doesn't convert — results depend on your messaging and market.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, activating, or using Lead Jefe (the "Software" or "Service"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you are using Lead Jefe on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" refers to that entity.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download or use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use Lead Jefe. The Service is intended for business use only — specifically, for individuals and companies engaged in lawful B2B outreach and lead generation activities.

The Service is currently available for use on Windows 10 and Windows 11 only.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Lead Jefe grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the Software on devices you own or control, solely for your internal business purposes.

Each license key is valid for use by a single account holder. You may not share, transfer, or resell your license key without our prior written consent. Agency-tier users may use the Software to generate leads for their clients but may not redistribute or white-label the Software itself without a separate written agreement.

4. Permitted Use

You may use Lead Jefe to:

  • Search for and collect publicly available business contact information for lawful B2B outreach
  • Compose and send cold emails to business contacts using your own email accounts
  • Manage follow-up sequences and track outreach activity for your own business
  • Export lead data for use in your own CRM or business tools

5. Prohibited Use

You may not use Lead Jefe to:

  • Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or email that violates CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, or any other applicable law
  • Harass, threaten, deceive, or defraud any individual or business
  • Collect or process data about private individuals (non-business contacts) without appropriate legal basis
  • Scrape data in a manner that violates the terms of service of any third-party platform
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the Software
  • Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or commercially distribute the Software or license keys
  • Use the Software to generate leads for industries or purposes that are illegal in your jurisdiction
  • Attempt to circumvent license validation, usage limits, or other technical restrictions
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our systems or servers
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in outreach emails sent via the Service

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of your license without refund and, where applicable, legal action.

6. Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds

Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly. Payments are processed by PayPal. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Free Trial

The Trial tier is free and does not require a payment method. Trial usage is subject to the limits described on our pricing page and these Terms.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features through the end of the period you have paid for.

Refunds

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers on any paid plan. If you are unsatisfied within 7 days of your first payment, contact us at [email protected] for a full refund. After 7 days, all payments are non-refundable. Refunds are not available for renewal charges where the subscription was not cancelled before the renewal date.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

Lead Quota

Your monthly lead quota counts only leads with a confidence score of ≥80. Low-confidence leads do not count against your quota. Unused quota does not roll over to the next billing period.

7. Email Compliance — Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring your outreach complies with all applicable laws. Lead Jefe provides tools — how you use them is on you.

When sending cold email through Lead Jefe, you are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

  • CAN-SPAM Act (US) — include your physical address, a clear opt-out mechanism, and honest subject lines.
  • CASL (Canada) — ensure you have express or implied consent before sending to Canadian recipients.
  • GDPR (EU/UK) — if emailing EU or UK recipients, ensure you have a lawful basis for processing and comply with data subject rights.
  • State laws — various US states have additional requirements; consult legal counsel if unsure.

Lead Jefe's built-in unsubscribe detection helps you honor opt-outs, but the obligation to honor them rests with you. We are not liable for any fines, penalties, or damages resulting from your non-compliance with email laws.

8. Your Data

Lead data you collect using the Software is stored locally on your device. You own your data. We do not claim any rights over the leads you generate or the emails you send.

You are responsible for ensuring that your collection and use of third-party business data complies with applicable privacy laws and the terms of any third-party platforms you access through the Software.

9. Intellectual Property

Lead Jefe, including its software, design, trademarks, logos, and documentation, is owned by Lead Jefe and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited license described in Section 3.

The Lead Jefe name, crown logo, and "The Boss of Leads" tagline are trademarks of Lead Jefe. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will meet your requirements; (b) results from the Service will be accurate, complete, or up-to-date; (c) the Service will be error-free or that defects will be corrected; or (d) lead data collected will result in responses, sales, or business outcomes.

Email deliverability, reply rates, and business outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your messaging, market conditions, and recipient behavior.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LEAD JEFE AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LEAD JEFE IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lead Jefe and its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights or applicable law; or (d) any email you send using the Service.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, abused the Service, or if required by law. In cases of material violation, no refund will be issued.

Upon termination, your license to use the Software ends immediately. Sections 8–12 and 14–15 of these Terms survive termination.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and provide a written description of the dispute. We will attempt to resolve disputes informally within 30 days.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you by email where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription before the effective date.
